Our students are encouraged to represent, create and respond to the arts. We encourage self expression through art, music, dance and movement experiences. A variety of traditional and innovative materials are available in great supply to encourage exploration and experimentation daily. As they create, the primary focus is on the process of generating new images and forms rather than completing a given model according to adult standards. As we value process over product, children are encouraged to experiment with materials and to develop and acquire new skills. As they develop, children are offered new challenges, new techniques and encouragement to continue to create while refining their skills and editing their products.
